Grade 1 heroine
A.P. ADVENTURE
(A.P. Indy), who has not started since
finishing sixth in the Kentucky Oaks (G1), highlights a field of eight entered
for Sunday’s $150,000 Bayakoa H. (G2) at Hollywood Park. Winner of the Las Virgenes S. (G1) and third in the Santa Anita Oaks (G1) earlier this season, the
Wally Dollase-trained sophomore filly returns to the races off more than a
seven-month layoff as the 117-pound highweight and will be ridden by Mike Smith.

Other contenders for the 1 1/16-mile, main track event include the Grade
1-placed ROYALLY CHOSEN (In Excess [Ire]), who exits a sharp three-length score
in the Cat’s Cradle H. at Hollywood; Clement L. Hirsch H. (G2) queen MISS LOREN
(Arg) (Numerous); and ESSENCE (Gulch), who has shipped west for trainer Todd
Pletcher off a victory in the Anne Arundel S. (G3) at Pimlico.

The complete field, from the rail out with riders and imposts, is A.P.
Adventure; COCONUT GIRL (Cryptoclearance), Kent Desormeaux, 114; KEYS TO THE
HEART (Wild Again), Garrett Gomez, 113; Essence, Corey Nakatani, 115; Royally
Chosen, David Flores, 116; BORN TO DANCE (Service Stripe), Rene Douglas, 114;
Miss Loren, Jose Valdivia Jr., 116; and HOLLYWOOD STORY (Wild Rush), Victor Espinoza, 115.
