MAY GATOR (Green Alligator) and MY MISTY PRINCESS (Acceptable) lead a
contingent of eight fillies and mares in Thursday’s $60,000 Furl Sail H.
at Fair Grounds. The five-year-old May Gator, who comes off a neck loss in the
Cardinal H. (G3), will run under the guidance of Jose
Martinez Jr. Fellow 120-pound highweight My Misty Princess has one stakes
win under her belt this year, recording a nose decision in the Bluebonnet S.
in late October. She will retain the services of jockey Jamie Theriot for
Thursday’s 1 1/16-mile contest.
FUN HOUSE (Prized) will be attempting to improve off a third-place finish in
the Katy S. at Sam Houston. The Steven Asumussen charge already includes a
victory in the Buena Vista H. (G2) and a runner-up spot in the Santa Ana H. (G2)
on her resume this year.
