Multiple Grade 2 winner EVEN THE SCORE (Unbridled’s Song) has been retired
from racing and will stand the 2005 breeding season at Millennium Farms Kentucky,
near Lexington, for a fee of $5,000, payable October 1 of the year bred.
Last year, Even the Score won the Mervyn LeRoy H. (G2) and Californian S.
(G2) at Hollywood Park. The gray also won the 2003 edition of the Mardi Gras H.
at Fair Grounds and placed in six other stakes races. In his most recent start,
he finished a close third as the odds-on favorite in the Hollywood Gold Cup S.
(G1) on July 10. The seven-year-old will head to the breeding shed with a record
of 29-9-1-9 and $751,629 in earnings.
Even the Score is the first foal out stakes winner Ashtabula (Rahy), who
placed in four other stakes, including the Bayakoa H. (G2), and earned $321,748
during her racing career.
