SWEET CATOMINE (Storm Cat) will make her first start since easily scoring by
3 3/4 lengths in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) in Sunday’s $100,000
Santa Ysabel S. (G3) at Santa Anita. Trained by Julio Canani, the bay miss has
yet to compete since late October when she distinguished herself as the
front-runner for champion three-year-old filly honors.

The recently-turned sophomore will face six rivals in the 1 1/16-mile Santa
Ysabel as the 124-pound highweight. She’s dropped only one start from four
career tries and will be reunited with jockey David Flores, who was aboard for
that runner-up finish.

All other fillies in the field will only have to tote 115 pounds. Among the
group are maiden winners QUIET HONOR (Real Quiet), who took her debut at Santa
Anita by five lengths in mid-October, and REVEALED (Old Trieste), a length
victress at Hollywood Park in late November.

Quiet Honor will break from the rail under Victor Espinoza. She’ll be
followed in the post parade by Revealed, Jon Court; ON LONDON TIME (Gilded
Time), Mike Smith; ISLAND ESCAPE (Petionville), Rene Douglas; SHE SINGS
(Petionville), Casey Fusilier; ANDREA’S WISH (Cape Town), Jose Valdivia Jr. and
Sweet Catomine.

Revealed and Sweet Catomine will run coupled, as will Island Escape and She
Sings.

Earlier on the card, five sophomore males will sprint six furlongs in the
$100,000 San Miguel S. BUSHWACKER (Outflanker) and SEIZE THE DAY (Montbrook),
the 2-3 finishers behind Declan’s Moon (Malibu Moon) in the Hollywood Prevue S.
(G3), respectively, are two of the top contenders.
