Peter Redekop B.C. Ltd’s YOUGOTTAWANNA (Candi’s Gold) went right to the
lead in Saturday’s $86,250
Seabiscuit Breeders’ Cup H. (G3) and was never headed
at any call in the 1 1/16-mile fast track event, stopping the clock in 1:41 2/5
while clear by 1 1/4 lengths. The six-year-old was chased by Jake Skate (Arch)
throughout, who finished in the same position in which he raced. Post-time
favorite Adreamisborn (Kris S.) and Habaneros (Tabasco Cat) battled for the
third spot, with the former holding on by a half-length.

They were followed under the wire by Third Half (Silver Deputy), Desert Boom
(Boomerang) and Freddy (Arg) (Roy). The winner, sent off at 5-1, returned
$12.60, $6 and $3.40 on top of the $21.20 exacta ($1) completed by Jake Skate,
who gave back $4.20 and $2.60 at nearly 5-2. The $54 trifecta ($1) was completed
by Adreamisborn, who was worth $2.60 at 2-1. Habaneros rounded out the 6-5-7-4
superfecta, worth $267.20 ($1).

Bred in California by Halo Farms, Yougottawanna successfully defended his
Seabiscuit title after taking the 2004 edition by three parts of a length. He improves his mark to
32-10-7-5 with earnings of $626,624. The chestnut is out of the winning Midway
Circle mare Chapel’s Sister and is a half-brother to a weanling colt by El Corredor.
