Eleven fillies and mares will contest Saturday’s $100,000 Suwannee River H.
(G3) at Gulfstream Park, and we’ll go with HIGH COURT (Brz) (Blush Rambler), who
is coming off the shelf and is one of two uncoupled entries for trainer Michael Matz. The five-year-old just missed
in her last three tries at this level and is due here. In her latest, the Violet
H. (G3), the bay put up a huge BRIS Late Pace figure of 121, missing by just 1
1/4 lengths. We think she can get it done here at a nice price under Javier Castellano.

ANGELA’S LOVE (Not for Love) took to the turf in her two latest starts,
finishing a good third in the Cardinal H. (G3) before shipping to Gulfstream to
take the Marshua’s River S. A Grade 3 winner on the dirt, we like her chances
given her connections – trainer Dale Romans and Irish jockey Kieren Fallon (who
was aboard for the Marshua’s win).

BINYA (Ger) (Royal Solo [Ire]) enters off a four-month layoff for conditioner
Kiaran McLaughlin and can steal it on the front end. Usually a distance runner,
the chestnut owns a win over the Gulfstream sod at this level in The Very One H.
(G3). The race prior, the six-year-old won a race versus allowance company at
the South Florida track at Saturday’s distance of 1 1/8-miles. We’ll use her in the exotics.

Another German-bred, BANYU DEWI (Ger) (Poliglote [GB]), appears capable of
getting a piece here. The six-year-old ran a troubled race last out
in an optional claimer here in Hallandale, having to steady in the stretch and
then being blocked late, suggesting the bay could have been much better than
fourth. With the right trip, this Matz trainee could surprise. We’ll
have her in the gimmicks.

SNOWDROPS (GB) (Gulch) has been successful at the listed stakes level
and may face a class challenge here. With Edgar Prado in the irons, it’s still
tough to rule out the five-year-old Christophe Clemente trainee.

The Kenny McPeek-trained GALLOPING GAL (Victory Gallop) has been unsuccessful
in two tries over the Gulfstream turf, and has to come with that late turn of
foot she unleashed in taking the Edgewood S. over the Churchill Downs grass last
spring to factor here.

SAVEDBYTHELIGHT (Saint Ballado) ran six of her seven starts last year against graded
stakes company, but never made it to the winner’s circle. We’ll have to go
against the five-year-old who is accustomed to longer distances. KRASNAYA (Red
Ransom) steps up to the graded level here and we’ll let the Todd Pletcher
trainee beat us off a near two-month layoff.

Pletcher also sends out the uncoupled HONEY RIDER (Lasting Approval), but the four-year-old
may need a race having been off since December. Stephen Margolis will saddle
KEY TO THE CAT (Tale of the Cat), who ran horribly last out in the Flying
Concert S. The chestnut may be outclassed. MYMICH (A.P. Indy) has been off for
two months and steps way up here. We’ll watch for now.
