A talented group of six runners heads to Aqueduct for the $350,000
Carter H. (G1) on Saturday. The field is led by DON SIX (Wild Escapade), who
came a nose short of winning the General George H. (G2) in his last start,
losing in the end to Saratoga County (Valid Expectations). Conditioner Scott Lake
has turned Don Six around since taking over training duties three back and the
dark bay will
come off a 47-day layoff ready to go. The five-year-old should get out of the
gate quickly and try to set the pace. Hot jockey Mike Luzzi, who has won four
races in the past week, has the call for the seven-furlong affair.

FOREST DANGER (Forestry) is a colt that just keeps getting better and
better, making an easy go of an optional-claiming race in February when he
dominated his rivals by 9 1/2 lengths. In five career starts, the bay has only lost
once, that coming in the Withers S. (G3) last May to MEDALLIST (Touch Gold), and
has defeated his opponents by a combined 21 lengths. The four-year-old enters Saturday’s race
for Todd Pletcher with some of the best BRIS Late Pace figures in
the field. Given that each of these entrants will probably make a dash for the
early lead, this could benefit Forest Danger in the end as the rest of the field tires.
The always-dangerous Rafael Bejarano will ride.

Medallist will make his first start since a wire-to-wire victory in the
Deputy Minister H. (G2) nearly two months ago. The four-year-old has the ability
to lead from beginning to end, or stalk the pace and pounce in the final
furlong, and that makes him a contender to take this one. Trained by Allen Jerkens,
Medallist has won his last two and looks in good form. Jose Santos will try for
his fourth win aboard the colt.

PRIMARY SUSPECT (Hennessy) comes into Saturday’s competition off a victory in
the Toboggan H. (G3). He will break from post 2, which could give him
an advantage in getting to the front early. The four-year-old has proved that he
can lead through a fast pace and it wouldn’t surprise us to see his number on
the board at the end. Jockey Pablo Fragoso will try for
his sixth win of the week.

MASS MEDIA (Touch Gold) comes off a disappointing finish in the San Carlos H.
(G2), but has shown that he can certainly compete against this level, winning the Sport Page H. (G3) before winding up a close second in
the San Fernando Breeders’ Cup S. (G2) two back. The Bobby Frankel trainee is
always one to look out for and could grab part here.

UNFORGETTABLE MAX (Northern Afleet) is winless at seven furlongs in
five attempts, coming in a close fifth after losing ground six wide in the
General George. The likely fast pace and his
inconsistency will lead us to just watch for now.
