Australian Group 1 winner ALINGHI (Aus) (Encosta de Lago) headline’s the 17th
running of the Ballston Spa Breeders’ Cup H. (G3) on Monday at Saratoga. Making her first start since
March, the four-year-old filly has already annexed two races this year — the
Robert Sangster S. (Aus-G1) and Newmarket H. (Aus-G1) — both against older
males. She enters off a close fourth, beaten only a half-length, in the T.J.
Smith S. (Aus-G1). Alinghi will carry 119 pounds, including jockey Edgar Prado,
in her North American debut.

Multiple Grade 3 winner DELTA PRINCESS (A.P. Indy) will be going for her fourth
win this season in the $200,000 event. She’ll try to rebound off a sixth-place finish in the
Diana H. (G1) last out, her only off-the-board-placing this year. Robby Albarado will
ride.

LA REINA (A.P. Indy) will lead the post parade under John Velazquez and
carry 114 pounds. Next will come PATH OF THUNDER (Thunder Gulch), Richard Migliore, 114; SPRING SEASON (Seeking the Gold), Ramon Dominguez, 115; FINERY
(Lear Fan), Javier Castellano, 116; LENTIL (Alphabet Soup), Jorge Chavez, 115;
STUPENDOUS MISS (Dynaformer), Gary Stevens, 115; Delta Princess, 118; CLOAKOF
VAGUENESS (El Prado [Ire]), Eibar Coa, 115; RISKAVERSE (Dynaformer), Jose
Santos, 118; Alinghi, SNOWDROPS (GB) (Gulch), Jerry Bailey, 116; and QUE PUNTUAL
(Arg)

The main-track only entries are CAPESIDE LADY (Cape Town), no rider, 125;
ENDER’S SISTER (A.P. Indy), no rider, 123; PROVINCIAL (Pulpit), no rider, 121;
and AESCULUS (Horse Chestnut [SAf]), no rider 119.
