An outstanding group of 10 fillies and mares has been entered for Saturday’s
$750,000 Beverly D. S. (G1) at Arlington Park, and Hall of Fame conditioner
Bobby Frankel will saddle the top two choices on the morning line. Grade 1
winner MEGAHERTZ (GB) (Pivotal) exits a victory in the Beverly Hills H. (G2) at
Hollywood Park and is three for three this year, but the $1.8 million earner is
the 7-2 second choice to stablemate MELHOR AINDA (Pulpit), winner of the Sands
Point S. (G3) two back and second most recently in the American Invitational
Oaks (G1). The three-year-old filly is listed at 3-1 and will be ridden by John
Velazquez.

WEND (Pulpit) and WONDER AGAIN (Dynaformer) are both top contenders. The
former recorded her fifth straight win in 2005 when defeating a strong field in
the New York H. (G2) last out for trainer Bill Mott. Wonder Again is a multiple
Grade 1 heroine and earner of $1.1 million. Grade 3 queen ANGARA (GB) (Alzao), a
fast-finishing third in the Diana H. (G1) last time, and Argentine champion MISS
TERRIBLE (Arg) (Numerous), winner of the Distaff Turf Mile (G3) and Las Flores
H. (G3) this season, are also dangerous U.S.-based entrants.

Three Europeans add depth to the lineup. SUNDROP (Jpn) (Sunday Silence) is a
multiple Group 1 runner-up in England for Godolphin and should relish the 1
3/16-mile distance of the Beverly D. MONA LISA (GB) (Giant’s Causeway) enters
off a stakes victory in Ireland and finished third earlier this year in both the
Irish Oaks (Ire-G1) and Coronation S. (Eng-G1) for conditioner Aidan O’Brien.
Group 3 winner TARFAH (Kingmambo) has shipped into Chicago for English-based
trainer Gerald Butler.

Sundrop leads the post parade under Mark Guidry and is listed at 8-1 on the
morning line. Next comes Tarfah, Darryl Holland, 15-1; Miss Terrible, Pat
Valenzuela, 10-1; Megahertz, Alex Solis; Mona Lisa, Kieren Fallon, 10-1; Wend,
Jerry Bailey, 4-1; Melhor Ainda; HALO OLA (Arg) (Southern Halo), Jose Valdivia
Jr., 20-1; Angara, Gary Stevens, 8-1; and Wonder Again, Edgar Prado, 8-1.
