Leroidesanimaux, Silver Tree highlight Fourstardave

Last updated: 8/24/05 8:09 PM

A small but talented field of six turf horses has been entered for Saturday’s
$200,000 Fourstardave H. (G2) on the Travers S. (G1) undercard. Heading the cast
is multiple Grade 1 winner LEROIDESANIMAUX (Brz) (Candy Stripes), who is unraced
since capturing his five-year-old debut in the Frank E. Kilroe Mile H. (G1) in
early March. The Bobby Frankel trainee is the 122-pound highweight for the 1
1/16-mile Fourstardave over the inner turf.

SILVER TREE (Hennessy) merits serious respect. Trained by Bill Mott, Silver
Tree captured the 2004 Bernard Baruch H. (G2) at the Spa and finished a close
second in last year’s Fourstardave. The five-year-old horse enters off a good
second to Artie Schiller (El Prado [Ire]) in the August 1 running of the Bernard
Baruch, and Jerry Bailey rides the chestnut.

Grade 1 winner AMERICA ALIVE (American Chance) and Grade 2 hero SENOR SWINGER
(El Prado [Ire]) are also entered.

The complete field, from the rail out with riders and weights, is Silver Tree,
117; HOTSTUFANTHENSOME (Awesome
Again), Cornelio Velasquez, 115; Senor Swinger, Edgar Prado, 116; America Alive, Robby
Albarado, 117; STEEL LIGHT (Stravinsky), Corey Nakatani, 113; and Leroidesanimaux, Jon
Court.
