Multiple Grade 2 hero LIMEHOUSE (Grand Slam) has been sold to Vinery for an
undisclosed sum and will enter stud there at the end of the 2005 racing season.
The chestnut, who has earned $1,099,933 from a record of 19-7-2-3,
will continue to race for owner Dogwood Stable through the rest of the year.

“We are delighted for him to go to Vinery, and that farm is in the process of
syndicating him now,” Dogwood Stable President Cot Campbell said.

Limehouse captured the Brooklyn H. (G2) three back and earned a starting
berth in the
2004 Kentucky Derby (G1) off nice wins in the Hutcheson S. (G2) and Tampa Bay
Derby (G3). He ran fourth in the Derby on the first Saturday in May, and ended
his sophomore campaign with a sixth in the Ohio Derby (G2) on June 12. Returning
in early January, Limehouse finished a good second in the Mr. Prospector H. (G3)
before a close runner-up finish in the New Orleans H. (G2) later in the year.
The four-year-old also earned scores in the Bashford Manor S. (G3) and Three
Chimneys Juvenile S. as a two-year-old and was a 1 3/4-length winner of the
Alysheba S. in early May this year. His five stakes placings include the Blue
Grass S. (G1) and Breeders’ Futurity (G2).

“He is a marvelous horse, won major stakes as a two-, three- and four-year-old,
and is certainly known for his consistency,” Campbell said. “The plan is to
freshen him a bit, and perhaps experiment with a grass race. His trainer, Todd Pletcher, will work him on the turf when the stable moves back to Belmont in a
week. Depending on this, we will map out a campaign for the balance of the year,
hoping to include a Breeders’ Cup race in the scenario.”

Dogwood Stable purchased Limehouse for $140,000 as a Fasig-Tipton August
yearling. He is out of Dixieland Blues (Dixieland Band), who is also the dam of
U.A.E. Derby (UAE-G2) winner Blues and Royals (Honour and Glory).
