Grade 2 winner POLLARD’S VISION (Carson City), who finished last of eight in
Saturday’s Whitney H. (G1), and Grade 1 victress SENSE OF STYLE (Thunder Gulch),
who finished last of nine in Saturday’s Test S. (G1), have both been retired,
according to Daily Racing Form.

Pollard’s Vision, trained by Todd Pletcher, sustained an injury in the
nine-furlong Whitney. The four-year-old will head to the sidelines with a record
of 23-6-7-4 and $1,430,311 in earnings. Stud plans are expected to be announced
at a later date.

In 2004, Pollard’s Vision won the Illinois Derby (G2), Leonard Richards S.
(G3) and Lone Star Derby (G3). He captured the National Jockey Club H. (G3)
earlier this season, and placed in eight other black-type events, including this
year’s Pimlico Special (G1) and Suburban H. (G1).

Sense of Style compiled a record of 8-3-1-1 and earnings of $407,250 for
trainer Patrick Biancone. The three-year-old filly won the Matron S. (G1) and
Spinaway S. (G2) last season, and finished second in the Revidere S. and third
in the Prioress S. (G1) this year. She is scheduled to be sent to her owner’s
Ashford Stud near Versailles, Kentucky. Breeding plans were not announced.
