Saturday’s $150,000 Knickerbocker H. (G3) at Belmont Park had drawn a field of 13, two
of which are main-track only entrants, to go nine furlongs over Belmont Park’s
inner turf. BATTLE CHANT (Coronado’s Quest) won the John D. Schapiro Memorial
Breeders’ Cup H. by 4 3/4 lengths last out while going the distance and earned a
102 BRIS Speed rating for that effort. The bay five-year-old has consistently
earned triple-digit BRIS Late Pace figures since shipping stateside and could
move on up in the ranks to the graded level under Edgar Prado.

CERTIFIABLY CRAZY (Fit to Fight) loves the Belmont green (8-2-3-1), capturing
the Ashley T. Cole H. by 4 1/4 lengths last out while garnering a 105 BRIS E2
Pace rating. The dark bay gelding keeps Cornelio Velasquez in the saddle and
could lead from gate to wire on Saturday.

REQUEST FOR PAROLE (Judge T C) didn’t do so well in his last one, but could
show much more while returning to the turf. The Stanley Hough trainee captured
the United Nations (G1) last year and ran third in that same event this season,
proving he still has what it takes to show up in the winner’s circle.

WE ALL LOVE ALEYNA (Nines Wild) will be making her East Coast debut in this
one and has more than enough ability to score here as long as he handles the
extra distance. SAINT STEPHEN (Saint Ballado) ran sixth, just three lengths back
of the winner, in the Manhattan H. (G1), most recently and owns the numbers to
challenge in the top three.

ROUSING VICTORY (Victory Gallop) ran off-the-board against Grade 1 company
last out and could move up here while returning to a much more manageable level.
COTTAGE (Arg) (Ibero) was claimed two back and transferred to the barn of Scott
Lake, who has been winning at a 17 percent clip, and could show up in the top
three here. LATINO MAGIC (Ire) (Lion Cavern) ran a nice sixth in the Kelso
Breeders’ Cup H. (G2) last out in his U.S. debut, just 2 1/4 lengths back of the
winner, and has the ability to threaten in the exotics.

ATLANDO (Ire) (Hernando [Fr]) will be making his U.S. bow in this one and might
need a race to acclimate himself to his new surroundings. SIR WALTER RAHY (Rahy)
dropped down to the claiming ranks last out after facing stakes company and may
not be ready for these. ECCLESIASTIC (Pulpit) owns some nice Late Pace figures,
but hasn’t been doing so well of late and we’ll go against.

EVENING ATTIRE (Black Tie Affair [Ire]) and ICE WYNND FIRE (Northern Afleet)
are listed as main-track only entrants. The former has picked up his form a bit
of late, but still might not be able to keep up with these. Ice Wynnd Fire
earned his last win on an off track, so consider for the exotics if this race is
switched off the dirt.
