A speedy field of 10 will go forward for the $500,000 Vosburgh S. (G1) at
Belmont Park on Saturday. WOKE UP DREAMIN (Holy Bull), who comes off an easy victory
in the Smile Sprint H. (G2) at Calder Race Course in July, will be the likely
favorite in the six-furlong event, but we will go with the confirmed closer, SILVER WAGON (Wagon Limit),
to provide a little more value.

The Ralph Ziadie trainee, who is coupled with TIGER HEART (Scatmandu), will
be making his first start at the Vosburgh distance and only his second start
over the Elmont, New York, surface. In his last outing, the Forego S. (G1),
Silver Wagon hit the gate at the start and then endured bumping in the early
going. Despite this, the four-year-old came home a solid third to MASS MEDIA (Touch
Gold), earning a BRIS Late Pace figure of 111. The race prior, he finished a
game second in the Met Mile (G1) to Ghostzapper, who proved much the best in that one. Given the
speed-laden field and a switch to jockey Jerry Bailey, who has been impressive
at Belmont so far, we are giving the nod to the gray in this one.

Woke Up Dreamin proved victorious in his only start over this track in June
when annexing the True North Breeders’ Cup H. (G2). The Bob Baffert trainee has
earned BRIS Speed figures topping the century mark in his last four outings,
including a career-best 111 when taking the Smile Sprint. Woke Up Dreamin is one
who likes to be near the early lead, a factor that could hinder the five-year-old.
Despite this, the bay has proved to be a talented sprinter this year and should
be prominent throughout.

LION TAMER (Will’s Way), coupled with POMEROY (Boundary), will be making his
first start since hitting the wire a very close fourth in the
Lone Star Park H. (G3) in late May. The five-year-old chestnut has been working well for
trainer Todd Pletcher and is perfect in two starts at three-quarters of a mile.
He has some good late speed and could get could up for part.

Mass Media surprised in the Forego, taking that one by a half-length as the
longest shot in the field at 15-1. The Bobby Frankel charge turns around here
with a good chance to challenge, having won two of three at Belmont and taking four of six at
six furlongs. Javier Castellano has the call.

Pomeroy comes off a 49-day freshening after a commanding four-length victory in
the Alfred G. Vanderbilt H. (G2). A confirmed front runner, he could get himself
in some trouble setting a quick tempo, but the seasoned veteran is excellent at
six furlongs and is a threat to finish near the top of the pack.

UNCLE CAMIE (Abaginone) returns to the dirt after a failed attempt on the
turf, coming home sixth versus optional claiming/allowance company. The Michael Hushion-trained
five-year-old finished first in the Bold Ruler H. (G3) over a weak field but is
experienced at the Vosburgh distance. He could hit the bottom of the gimmicks. UNFURL THE FLAG (Bertrando) exits a sixth-place finish in the Pat O’Brien
Breeders’ Cup H. (G2) after weakening in the stretch. Another confirmed speed
horse, it is questionable whether he can compete here in his first trip east of
California.

I’M THE TIGER (Siphon [Brz]) managed to finish second in the
Vanderbilt despite stumbling at the start and being bumped. The five-year-old
gelding will be making his first start at Belmont and might find this spot too
difficult. TASTE OF PARADISE (Conquistador Cielo) has produced mediocre results
against graded competition. We will go against. Tiger Heart is unproven at this level and
could have class problems.
