Saturday’s co-feature on the inaugural “Stars of Tomorrow” program at
Churchill Downs is the Pocahontas S. (G3) for juvenile fillies. The one-mile
test is a wide-open affair, so we’re going with some longshots.

MAGGIE SLEW, the last foal by the great racehorse and sire Seattle Slew,
didn’t pick up a hoof in the Alcibiades S. (G2) at Keeneland in her last start,
and we’re just going to draw a line through that one. In her prior outing, she
broke slowly, advanced into traffic, had to steady near the three-sixteenths
pole, then finished a better-than-appears fourth in the Sorority S. at Monmouth
Park. At 15-1 on the morning line, she rates our upset special.

TRIPPI STREET (Trippi) attended the early pace from the inside, advanced from
the outside around the turn, then rolled to a nine-length victory in her debut
over a slow track at Hawthorne. She stretches out in distance and upgrades in
class, but is trained by the ever-dangerous Wayne Catalano. Trippi Street rates
our sleeper.

COOLWIND (Forest Wildcat) lost ground on both turns before finishing a
distant fourth in the Alcibiades. She figures to stalk the early pace from the
outside and could factor with a return to her Arlington Park form. She is an
attractive 15-1 on the morning line.

Another longshot, MORE THAN PRETTY (More Than Ready), has excellent early
speed and could stick around for a share at a big price. She just missed to the
highly regarded Lizzy’s Township (Delaware Township) three back. SWEPT GOLD
(Touch Gold) closed nicely for runner-up honors to DANCE DAILY (Five Star Day)
in a second-level allowance sprint at Keeneland in her latest. Rafael Bejarano
stays aboard, but she could be overbet. FRENCH PARK (Ecton Park) broke her
maiden in front-running fashion by a widening 12 1/4 lengths in her debut in
Lexington. She will get tested for class with these and has the look of an
underlay.

MYKINDASAINT (Saint Ballado) and Dance Daily are both trained by D. Wayne
Lukas. The former suffered her first career defeat when running sixth in the
Frizette S. (G1) in her last start, while the latter exits a nice 1 1/4-length victory at Keeneland. Both have excellent gate speed and are worth a second
look. The Bill Mott-trained PERFORMING DIVA (Storm Cat) ran an even third in the
Alcibiades but figures to be heavily bet. We’re going to take a
stand against. TRICK’S PIC (Favorite Trick) didn’t run a step in the Alcibiades,
but she is trained by Patrick Biancone and ridden by Gary Stevens. The dark bay is worth a
saver at large odds.

WILD TONIGHT (Wild Again) broke her maiden in last-to-first fashion at
Arlington in her latest. She has some upset potential as a deep closer beginning
on the rail. The Nick Zito-trained MOTION (Albert The Great) broke her maiden
around two turns at Keeneland but appears in tough. LADY DANZA
(Cryptoclearance) has defeated lesser in her last two starts and looks
overmatched with these.
