Fasig-Tipton will add an additional yearling sale on August 15 to
its auction schedule during the 2006 Saratoga meet.
The new yearling sale will be an open session not restricted to New York breds.
It will follow the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale on August 8-9.
The Fasig-Tipton New York-bred Preferred Yearling Sale will be moved forward one
day to August 12-13.
“After conversations with several of our major consignors to the Saratoga
sales, and with a little reorganization on our part, it became possible to
accommodate another session in our sales season at Saratoga,” Fasig-Tipton
President Walt Robertson said. “The first-class facilities available there to
our consignors and buyers at an open session will make this a convenient and
attractive option.”
Nominations for the Saratoga selected and preferred sessions will close on
January 31. Entries for the open yearling sale will close on May 22.
