Godolphin announced the purchases of four horses from the Aga Khan on
Wednesday, including the top three-year-old filly SHAWANDA (Sinndar). Winner of
the Irish Oaks (Ire-G1) and Prix Vermeille (Fr-G1), Shawanda suffered her first
unplaced finish when finishing a decent sixth in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe
(Fr-G1) last out. She owns an overall mark of 8-6-1-0 and will remain in
training next season for her new owners.

Multiple Group 1 hero VALIXIR (Ire) (Trempolino) is another big name heading
to the desert, where he is likely to be seen competing at Dubai’s Nad al Sheba
next year. The four-year-old notched wins in the Queen Anne S. (Eng-G1) and Prix
d’Ispahan (Fr-G1) prior to wrapping up his 2005 campaign with an unplaced
showing in the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1). Valixir has earned nearly $1 million
from a 16-8-1-4 record.

Also joining the stable are the Group 2-winning three-year-old filly OISEAU
RARE (King’s Best), who owns overall mark of 6-4-0-1, and the four-year-old colt
CARADAK (Desert Style), a multiple Group 3 victor.
