Last updated: 12/19/05 5:07 PM

Multiple Grade 3 stakes winner and classic-placed MIDWAY ROAD (Jade Hunter)
will enter stud at Lane’s End Texas near Hempstead in 2006, and not at
Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Kentucky, as first planned. His stud fee has
not been announced.

Midway Road scored his biggest stakes victories at Keeneland in 2004. In
capturing the 1 1/8-mile Ben Ali S. (G3) in April, he established a new track
record of 1:46 3/5, and he added the Fayette S. (G3) to his tally in October.
Midway Road concluded his career on a winning note with a brave effort in last
year’s Tenacious H. at the Fair Grounds.

From 17 starts, the five-year-old won seven races and placed in four others,
earning $695,060. During his three-year-old season in 2003, Midway Road finished
second in the Preakness S. (G1) and third in the Ohio Derby (G2), and he
returned to Pimlico in 2004 to place in the Pimlico Special H. (G1).

His dam, the stakes-winning Fleet Road (Magesterial), has produced multiple stakes
winners Tanja (Allen’s Prospect) and Shanghied (A.P. Indy), as well as stakes
winner and Grade 1-placed Tuzia (Blushing John). This is also the family of multiple Grade 1 heroine Island Fashion (Petionville).
