SABATINI (Five Star Day) will make her first start over Turfway Park’s Polytrack in
Saturday’s $150,000 Bourbonette Breeders’ Cup S. (G3), but she should be very
familiar with the footing, recording 12 works at Turfway Park since the
beginning of October. The Patrick Biancone-trained lass owns a class edge over
her rivals, finishing only 2 1/2 lengths back of Santa Anita Oaks (G1) winner
Balance (Thunder Gulch) when third in the Hollywood Starlet S. (G1) two starts
back, and we won’t go against the likely favorite.

In pursuit of some value, we’ll use LEMONS FOREVER (Lemon Drop Kid) on the
bottom of the exacta. A maiden winner over the Polytrack last November, Lemons
Forever finished second when making her seasonal debut in an allowance/optional claiming event at Louisiana Downs in January but showed more next out at Oaklawn
Park, winning at Saturday’s mile distance and earning a career-best 95 BRIS Speed
rating. The Dallas Stewart trainee has worked well since then, posting a
four-furlong bullet move in :47 3/5 at Churchill Downs recently, and owns good
tactical speed. She can save ground from her rail post and looks set for further
improvement. The chestnut is also listed at 12-1 on the morning line.

CORONADO’S VISION (Coronado’s Quest) invades from Gulfstream Park for trainer
Frank Brothers off a sharp allowance victory and will be a forward presence from
the start under new rider Edgar Prado. She defeated eventual Florida Oaks
heroine Bushfire (Louis Quatorze) when breaking her maiden two starts back, and
we wouldn’t be surprised to see her keep improving with a strong showing in her
stakes debut.

CAPOZZENE (Capote) failed as the favorite in the Suncoast S. at Tampa Bay
Downs last out, but the gray appears capable of better on Saturday for trainer
Todd Pletcher. A stakes winner last summer, Capozzene opened her sophomore
season with a solid third in the Silverbulletday S. (G3) two starts back and her
stakes experience looks like an advantage. She’ll settle into a stalking trip
under Chris DeCarlo before attempting to pounce.

TOP NOTCH LADY (Sultry Song), a Canadian stakes winner, owns the Speed
ratings to be a factor in her three-year-old bow, but she will have to overcome
the far outside post. She may be able to save some ground with her speed, and we
like the fact that trainer Mark Casse got her a workout over the Polytrack last
week. Consider the bay filly for the exotics. LADY DANZA (Cryptoclearance) will
also return off the layoff on Saturday, but her Speed ratings are a little low.
However, the Helen Pitts runner owns some back class, finishing third in the
Golden Rod S. (G2) at Churchill Downs, and she appears to be training well for
her first appearance in 2006.

DANCE DAILY (Five Star Day) captured the Santa Ynez S. (G2) when sprinting
three starts back, but she hasn’t fared well in three attempts at a mile,
recording three unplaced finishes. We’ll let her beat us. CLASSICAL RYDER
(Brahms), who owns a win over the track in the Valdale S. last out, could also
outperform our expectations, but the former claimer is a threat to regress
against better here.

MORETHANAWHISPER (Service Stripe) is two for two, both wins coming at Turfway
for conditioner Grant Hofmans, but she’s facing a steep class hike. We’ll give
her a race at this level. CHAMPAGNE N GLORY (Miswaki) drew an outside post for
her stakes debut, and we can’t recommend her chances.
