Hip No. 879, a Florida-bred bay colt named LAKE ISLAND (Songandaprayer),
worked a quarter-mile in :20 4/5 on Friday at the third under tack show for the
Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s Spring Two-Year-Old in Training Sale in Ocala,
Florida, turning in the fastest move at that distance. Consigned by Eisaman Equine,
agent, the February 29 juvenile is out of the winning Island Lake (Meadowlake).
His second dam is the stakes-placed Tavara (Avatar).

The fastest one-furlong workout was posted by Hip 679, a bay filly by
Successful Appeal. Consigned by Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds, agent, the April
20 Florida-bred is out of the unraced Down South Trickin’ (Clever Trick) and
comes from the same female family as U.S. Grade 3 queen Diomedia (*Sea-Bird),
who is the dam of English Group 3 winner Media Starguest (Ire), the fourth-place
finisher in the 1988 Arlington Million (G1).

Hip 730, a bay colt by Suave Prospect named I’M URBANE, worked three
furlongs in a bullet :34 1/5. Consigned by Lexmar, agent, the March 23 Florida-bred is the third foal out of the unraced Glitterman mare First Glimmer, a half-sister to 1998 Test S. (G1)
runner-up Brave Deed (Alydeed). I’m Urbane is a half-brother to the
three-year-old colt Exclusive Quality, who improved his overall mark to 4-3-1-0
with a victory in the Spectacular Bid S. on April 1.

The first session of the sale will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. (EDT).
