Yonaguska filly works three furlongs in :32 4/5

Hip No. 10, a dark bay filly named SPARTAN QUEEN (Yonaguska), worked three
furlongs in a bullet :32 4/5 at Wednesday’s under tack show for the Ocala
Breeders’ Sales Company’s Spring Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale. Consigned by Sescan, agent for Paul King, the Kentucky-bred is
out of Readout (Quack), a half-sister to stakes winner
Exuberant Hour (Exuberant). The February 25 filly previously sold for $32,000 at the 2005 Keeneland
September Yearling Sale.

Hip 186, a dark bay colt by Seacliff, worked the fastest quarter-mile,
covering the distance in :21. Consigned by Nick de Meric, agent, the
Florida-bred is out of Star Julia (Matty G). Her
third dam is the 1983 Apple Blossom H. (G1) victress Miss Huntington (Torsion).
The May 5 juvenile previously sold for $11,500 at last year’s OBS August
Yearling Sale.

Two horses worked one furlong in :10 1/5. The
first, Hip 49, is a bay filly by Yes It’s True. She is consigned by Off the
Hook, agent, and is out of Rue de la Play (Play Fellow), a
half-sister to stakes winner and 1993 Cowdin S. (G2) runner-up Bermuda Cedar (Talinum).
The Florida-bred comes from the same female family as stakes winner Zarb’s Music (Zarbyev).
The April 10 filly previously sold for $100,000 at last year’s Keeneland September
sale. The second, Hip 237, is a bay colt by West Acre.
Consigned by Double H. Stables, agent, the Florida-bred filly is out of
Telling Tales (Arg) (Ahmad), a half-sister to
Argentinean Group 1 hero Teresine (Halpern Bay).

The first session of the sale will begin on Tuesday, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
(EDT).
