Invincible Spirit colt highlights Inglis Oaklands

A colt by leading European freshman sire Invincible Spirit fetched a bid of
A$120,000 to top Sunday’s Inglis Oaklands Breeze-Up Sale. Consigned by Widden
Stud, agent, the bay son of Sister Georgina (Let’s Get Physical) breezed an
eighth of a mile in :10.52 during Thursday’s under-tack show and was purchased
by Aquanita Racing of Victoria. He had been purchased as a yearling for A$20,000
prior to the huge success of his sire’s first crop overseas.

The horse to breeze fastest on Thursday was also among the top sellers. Hip
32, a son of Testa Rossa out of Rockellen (Rancho Ruler) was hammered down to
Macau trainer Gary Moore for A$100,000. The bay clocked :10.18 on Thursday and
was purchased as a yearling for A$30,000.

A total of 82 horses were sold for gross receipts of A$1,927,500 and an
average of A$23,506.
