HEALTHY ADDICTION (Boston Harbor) earned her first graded win in last year’s
Lady’s Secret Breeders’ Cup H. (G2), defeating STAR PARADE (Arg) (Parade
Marshal) by a half-length, and she’s gone on to win two more graded stakes this
year, the Santa Margarita Invitational H. (G1) and Clement L. Hirsch H. (G2). On
Sunday, Healthy Addiction will renew her rivalry against Star Parade and three
other rivals in the $250,000 Lady’s Secret.

Trained by John Sadler, Healthy Addiction earned a career-best 103 BRIS Speed
rating for her 1 3/4-length score in the Clement Hirsch at Del Mar last time
out, and the five-year-old mare loves Santa Anita’s main track, recording five
wins and four seconds from 10 career starts. She’s in top form right now and
appears capable of dominating this event on the front end.

Star Parade is the biggest threat and has defeated her main rival on several
occasions, including the Santa Maria H. (G1) and Hawthorne H. (G3) this season.
The seven-year-old mare didn’t handle the turf last time, but we expect her to
bounce back with a much improved showing at Santa Anita, where she’s recorded a
3-2-0 mark from six attempts. Star Parade will likely be up close tracking the
pacesetter, but she may have to settle for runner-up honors.

Multiple Grade 1 heroine HOLLYWOOD STORY (Wild Rush) has the class to be a factor, but
there probably won’t be enough pace for the late-running mare and this race
takes place at Santa Anita. The John Shirreffs charge will run huge at Hollywood
Park, but Hollywood Story is winless from seven starts, with only one second, at
Santa Anita.

NEUILLY (Brz) (Royal Academy) brings an admirable three-for-four record in
the United States into her graded debut, but a lack of pace could hurt the
one-run closer. The four-year-old filly doesn’t own strong Speed numbers either.
DOWNTHEDUSTYROAD (Storm and a Half) has turned in two decent efforts since
switching to Bob Baffert’s stable, but we’ll just watch to see how the
Arkansas-bred fares while stepping up in class on Sunday.
