One day after the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Churchill Downs, the
Fasig-Tipton November Selected Mixed Sale will take place in Lexington, Kentucky.
More than 255 horses have been cataloged for the one-day auction, which begins
at 2 p.m. (EST).
Beverly D. S. (G1) winner GORELLA (Fr) (Grape Tree Road [GB]), a contender in
the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1); Flower Bowl Invitational S. (G1) winner HONEY
RYDER (Lasting Approval), a threat to win the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf
(G1); and 2005 Las Virgenes S. (G1) winner SHARP LISA (Dixieland Band), who runs in
the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), highlight the catalog.
Other important horses include Hollywood Starlet S. (G1) heroine DIPLOMAT LADY
(Forestry), Matron S. (G1) victress MEADOW BREEZE (Meadowlake), Gamely Breeders’
Cup S. (G1) queen SHINING ENERGY (Rahy), Queen Elizabeth II Invitational Challenge Cup S.
(G1) winner VACARE (Lear Fan) and SUMMERLY (Summer Squall), heroine of the 2005
Kentucky Oaks (G1).
In addition, the sale features mares from the ClassicStar dispersal and horses from
Ballydoyle Stables in Ireland.
Two late additions — multiple stakes winner ANNIKA LASS (Mister Jolie) and
the undefeated two-year-old filly ZOFZIG (Danzig) — will be offered.
