Last updated: 11/3/06 7:12 PM

Multiple Grade 1 winner GOOD REWARD (Storm Cat) has been retired and will
enter stud in 2007 at Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Kentucky, it was
announced on Friday. Trained throughout his career by Shug McGaughey, Good
Reward retires with a record of 26-5-2-7, $1,087,687.

A son of champion Heavenly Prize (Seeking the Gold), the Phipps Stable
homebred landed the 2004 Hollywood Derby (G1) and 2005 Manhattan H. (G1) and
placed in eight stakes. This season, the five-year-old bay finished second to
Horse of the Year candidate Lava Man (Slew City Slew) in the Pacific Classic S.
(G1) and third in the Maker’s Mark Mile S. (G2), Kentucky Cup Classic S. (G2)
and Fayette S. (G3) in his final start on October 28 at Keeneland.

“Like Giant’s Causeway, Storm Cat’s best son at stud to date, our horse
excelled in Grade 1 races on dirt and turf,” Ogden M. Phipps said. “That’s one
of the reasons we’re retaining an interest in him. We think Good Reward has
outstanding sire potential.”

Good Reward will stand as the property of a syndicate for a fee of $15,000
guaranteed live foal, payable September 1.
