Magic Millions has cataloged 1,629 youngsters for the Conrad Jupiters Magic
Millions Yearling Sale, which will take place on the Gold Coast from
January 11-19, 2007.
The 2006 sale boasted record figures with an average price of more than
A$140,000 and a new record price of A$1.55 million, and Magic Millions officials
are hopeful that the 2007 edition can match up.
“We say it every year,” said David Chester, the company’s managing director.
“But next year’s sale will be our best ever. We knew at the time entries closed
a few months ago that we would be able to assemble a first class catalog, and
this is certainly the case.”
Among the established sires represented are Anabaa, Dehere, Encosta de Lago,
Elusive Quality, Fusaichi Pegasus, Galileo (Ire), Giant’s Causeway, Redoute’s
Choice, Red Ransom, Rock of Gibraltar (Ire), Sadler’s Wells, Stravinsky and
Zabeel. There are a number of intriguing first-year sires, including Dubai
Destination, Exceed and Excel, Falbrav (Ire), Lonhro and Reset.
Slated to sell are half-siblings to Group 1 winners Bel Esprit (Royal
Academy), Choisir (Danehill Dancer), Dash for Cash (Secret Savings), Ha Ha
(Danehill), Racing to Win (Encosta de Lago), Serenade Rose (Stravinsky), Snitzel
