DREAMINGATDAYBREAK (Grand Slam), Hip No. 2698, sold for the top price of $200,000 to Ron
Gilbert, agent for C. R. Trout and Reata Thoroughbred Farm on Monday. The
six-year-old mare, in foal on a March 13 cover to Successful Appeal, was
consigned by Denali Stud (Craig and Holly Bandoroff), agent for Crystal Springs
Farm Dispersal, Phase I.

The unraced Dreamingatdaybreak is a half-sister to multiple Grade 3 winner
Dalhart (Forty Niner) and stakes winner Rose Frances (Crafty Prospector). She is also a half-sister
to Garimpeiro (Mr. Prospector), the dam of Grade 1 winner and $1.7-million
earner Geri (Theatrical
[Ire]) as well as A. P. Arrow (A.P. Indy), who finished second in the Hawthorne
Gold Cup H. (G2) in September.

A filly by Arch, Hip 2829, was the highest-priced weanling, selling for
$180,000 to Pat Garvey. The bay filly, consigned by Four Star Sales, agent, is
the fifth foal out of Grade 3 winner Move (Forty Niner).

As a two-year-old, Move won the Debutante S. (G3) and Kentucky Breeders’ Cup
S. for owner-breeder Cherry Valley Farm. She placed in three other black-type
events, including the Beaumont S. (G2), and earned $260,095 from a record of
12-5-2-1.

Move, who was carrying this filly at the time, sold for $37,000 at last
year’s Keeneland November sale. The 12-year-old mare is a half-sister to stakes
winners Reforest (Forestry) and Falling Sky (Star de Naskra).
