Goffs will host its one-day December Flat Sale on Friday, with a mixture of
foals, yearlings and horses in and out of training. Among the sires represented
in the near 300-strong catalog is leading European two-year-old sire Invincible
Spirit, as well as Dalakhani, Danetime, Fantastic Light, High Chaparral (Ire),
Noverre, Mull of Kintyre and Orpen.
Consignors include Abbeville and Meadow Court Studs, the Castlebridge
Consignment, Darley and Irish National Stud. Lots to note include Hip 1060, a
yearling by Desert Prince (Ire) out of the 1998 Yorkshire Oaks (Eng-G1) and St
Leger (Eng-G1) runner-up High and Low (Rainbow Quest), who has also produced the
stakes-placed Changeable (Dansili [GB]) . From the draft of Bill Dwan’s
Castlebridge Consignment, the yearling hails from the Juddmonte family that
produced multiple Group 1 winner American Post. Hip 1175 is a colt foal by High
Chaparral from the Springbank Way draft. His dam is Ivowen (Theatrical [Ire]),
who managed a third in the 2004 Pretty Polly S. (Ire-G1).
Later in the session a selection of broodmares comes under the hammer. Hip
1227 is the 12-year-old GEORGIA VENTURE (Shirley Heights), who is in foal to One
Cool Cat. Offered by Derryluskin Stud, she is from the family of Arakan. The
next lot is Derrinstown Stud’s juvenile GHADA (Belong to Me), a daughter of a
full sister to Shadayid, whose excellent family includes Fath, Alydaress and
Cape Cross (Ire).
Darley consigns another interesting broodmare prospect in Hip 1292, the
two-year-old ZOORINA (Xaar), who is a half to the Group 3-placed Dallaah (Green
Desert). She is
out of a sister to Bulaxie from the family of Claxon, Spotlight (GB) and
Cassydora (GB).
Selling begins Friday. Full catalog and updates are available on
