NOBLE EXCHANGE (Exchange Rate), a yearling colt consigned by Janie Roper,
agent, sold for $87,000 to lead all offerings at Tuesday’s opening session of
the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2009 Winter Mixed Sale in Ocala, Florida.
Touring the ring as Hip No. 155, the gray Florida-bred was taken home by Eisaman
Equine.

Green (Brocco) and the Grade 3-placed Little Hans (Hansel).

The session’s highest-priced broodmare, the seven-year-old ELENA’S DREAM (El
Prado [Ire]), brought a final bid of $62,000 from McKathan Brothers. Consigned
by Broken Back Farm, the unraced Elena’s Dream, in-foal to Scat Daddy on an
April 23 cover, was offered as Hip 206.

Out of the stakes-winning A Dream Above (Great Above), Elena’s Dream, Elena’s
Dream is a full sister to the Grade 3 winner Nite Dreamer and a half-sister to
the multiple stakes-placed Up and Above (Mt. Livermore).

On Tuesday, 168 horses sold for $1,450,200, a decline of 43 percent from last
year’s opening session when 109 head sold for $2,544,700. The average plummeted
