This is Wesley’s second stakes victory, as he captured last year’s National
Museum of Racing Hall of Fame S. (G2) at Saratoga. In the interim, the gray
four-year-old has finished fifth in the Kent S. (G3), fourth in the Jamaica H.
(G2) and Ft. Lauderdale S., 11th in the Strub S. (G2) and seventh in the Mervin
Muniz Jr. Memorial H. (G2). This score improves Wesley’s record to 13-4-2-0,
$273,890.
Bred in Kentucky by Domino Stud, Wesley commanded a $450,000 sales price at
the 2006 Keeneland September sale and is out of the winning Moving Picture
(Alysheba), who is also the dam of stakes winners Dynameaux (Dynaformer) and
Cloakof Vagueness (El Prado [Ire]). She hails from eight-time stakes winner Take
My Picture (Tyrant), making her a half-sibling to Grade 3 victress Holywood
Picture (Holy Bull).
