Grade 2 conqueror OLD FASHIONED (Unbridled’s Song), one of the early
favorites for this year’s Kentucky Derby (G1) before suffering a career-ending
injury in the Arkansas Derby (G2), will enter stud next year at Taylor Made
Stallions near Nicholasville, Kentucky.

A stud fee has not been announced for Old Fashioned, whose sire, Unbridled’s
Song, also stands at Taylor Made.

Campaigned by Rick Porter’s Fox Hill Farms, Old Fashioned compiled a record
of 6-4-2-0 with $583,280 in earnings. The gray was a perfect three-for-three as
a juvenile for trainer Larry Jones. A 15 1/2-length romper in an allowance at
Delaware Park, he concluded his 2008 season with a dynamic, 7 1/4-length romp in
the Remsen S. (G2).

Old Fashioned ventured to Oaklawn Park this winter as a leading contender for
the Run for the Roses. He extended his unbeaten streak to four in the February
16 Southwest S. (G3), then suffered his first loss when runner-up in the Rebel
S. (G2).

Lining up next in the Arkansas Derby, Old Fashioned was a terrifically game
runner-up, beaten just a half-length. He was subsequently found to have
sustained a non-displaced slab fracture to his right knee.

Old Fashioned, an $800,000 Keeneland September yearling, was bred in Kentucky
by Rod and Lorraine Rodriguez. He is the second registered foal from Collect
Call (Meadowlake), who won the Santa Ysabel S. (G3) and British Columbia Oaks
(Can-G3) and finished third in the Kentucky Oaks (G1), Vanity H. (G1) and Milady
H. (G1). This is the family of Grade 1 heroine Mitterand (Hold Your Peace),
herself the dam of Grade 2 victor and sire French Deputy (Deputy Minister).
