Budding superstar CARELESS JEWEL (Tapit) is the overwhelming choice in the
$750,000 Cotillion S. (G2) at Philadelphia Park on Saturday. The Josie Carroll
trainee has romped to a quartet of wins in succession by a combined 29 lengths,
capped by an 11-length thrashing in the Alabama S. (G1) at Saratoga most
recently. The high-quality gray looks to be invincible in here with anything
like her last pair under Robert Landry.

The Tim Ritchey-trained BON JOVI GIRL (Malibu Moon) figures to get a good
trip in here from off the expected fast early pace, and we’ll use the classy
filly for the completion of our exacta. An eight-length vixen of the Susan’s
Girl S. last out, the miss was thrashed by our top pick last out while going
postward at 3-5 odds, and while we don’t see her reversing that decision, a
much-improved showing is expected. Anna Napravink will be in the irons.

Prioress S. (G1) heroine CAT MOVES (Tale of the Cat) will hope to stretch her
speed to two turns for the first time for conditioner Tony Dutrow. A three-time
winner from four career starts, the bay Virginia-bred was an even third in the
Test S. (G1) last out and has trained well in the interim, so she could be
leading this field into the final turn under Jeremy Rose. We’ll use the filly
underneath.

Recent Monmouth Oaks (G3) star JUST JENDA (Menifee) is a five-time stakes
heroine who is in arguably the best form of her career for trainer Larry Jones.
The chestnut sophomore broke her maiden here and followed that up with
nine-length demolition in the Brandywine S., in which she earned a 99 BRIS Speed
number. The talented Kentucky-bred should be within range throughout.

Grade 3 turf victress MARY’S FOLLIES (More Than Ready) has never been worse
than third in
seven career tries and exits a second in the off-the-turf Lake George S. (G3)
most recently for Richard Dutrow. The talented bay has a useful turn of foot and
is training well in advance of this, so we could envision her being a strong
exotics contender in the stretch.

KEY LIME BABY (Champali) was a decent second in a recent allowance tilt but looks overmatched in this strong affair.
