BEAUTICIAN (Dehere) and BLIND LUCK (Pollard’s Vision), the close second- and
third-place finishers in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), are the top
draws for Sunday’s $405,250
Hollywood
Starlet (G1)
, the closing-day feature of the Hollywood Park fall meet. Seven
fillies will square off in the 1 1/16-mile test over the Cushion Track.

Both fillies were beaten less than a length last time, with Beautician edging
Blind Luck by a head for runner-up honors at Oak Tree. Trained by Kenny McPeek,
Beautician posted runner-up finishes in the Spinaway S. (G1) and Schuylerville
S. (G3) at Saratoga before suffering a troubled trip in the Alcibiades S. (G1),
checking in fifth after being blocked and steadied at the eighth-pole. She
rebounded with a top-class performance last time, and Garrett Gomez will pick up
the mount on the maiden winner.

Blink Luck opened her racing career career with a 13 1/4-length romp in a
maiden claimer at Calder. After being sold and transferred to trainer Jerry
Hollendorfer, she easily captured a starter allowance at Del Mar before
finishing second in her stakes debut, the Darley Debutante (G1). The chestnut
garnered her first stakes victory in the Oak Leaf (G1), rallying from off the
pace to a 2 1/2-length decision, and went postward as the favorite in the
Breeders’ Cup. She’ll get a new rider in Rafael Bejarano.

ROSE CATHERINE (Speightstown), an impressive turf maiden winner two starts
back at Belmont Park and an excellent half-length second in the Breeders’ Cup
Juvenile Fillies Turf last out, will make her synthetic debut on Sunday for Todd
Pletcher. Regular jockey Javier Castellano will be in for the mount. BICKERSONS
(Silver Deputy), MISS HEATHER LEE (Trippi) and IT TIZ (Tiznow), the respective
one-two-three finishers in the November 22 Moccasin S. at Hollywood, will all
return for the Starlet, and Alcibiades third-placer AMEN HALLELUJAH (Montbrook)
rounds out the field.
