Grade 1 victress HOT DIXIE CHICK (Dixie Union) looks like a complete standout
in the $100,000 Eight Belles S. (G3) at Churchill Downs on Saturday, and we see no way to go anywhere else in
this field. The dark bay speedster looked like she had no rust when crushing her
foes in the Prima Donna S. at Oaklawn last out and should be even more fit for
this affair with Robby Albarado.

BUCKLEUPBUTTERCUP (Najran) was second to a real nice one at Keeneland last
out and is a solid performer for conditioner Eddie Kenneally. The gray
Kentucky-bred is perfect from three starts on dirt and should get a nice trip
with Julien Leparoux.

VISAVIS (Indian Charlie) stopped abruptly in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) last
out but we will dismiss that race and focus on her first three starts for
trainer Steve Margolis. A winner at first asking, the bay just missed in a
subsequent stakes try off a lengthy layoff prior to toppling an allowance field
at six panels. The Kentucky-bred has a top-three chance with Shaun Bridgmohan.

Grade 3 heroine DECELRATOR (Dehere) has faced stakes foes in all but her
debut race and comes in with wins in two of her last three for D. Wayne Lukas.
The dark bay miss should love this distance and has the tactical speed to be in
the mix from the opening bell, so we’ll tab her for a top four placing. SISTER RESISTOR (Jump Start) will make her debut for Richard Dutrow on this
day, but she’s not easy to like going off her last pair. We are encouraged by
the presence of pilot Rafael Bejarano, though. BELL’S SHOES (Mineshaft) and KANTSTOPDANCIN (Yes It’s True) look
to be a cut
below the best in here.
