The National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) announced Tuesday that it
had reached a partnership agreement with Breeders’ Cup for the series of NTRA
Live! Webcasts that leads up to this year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships,
which will take place November 5-6 at Churchill Downs in Louisville. The
agreement calls for a variety of branded, in-show elements, as well as other
Web-based and email marketing initiatives.
Anchored by ESPN/ABC analyst and NFL Network host Randy Moss, NTRA Live!
Webcasts feature live video streaming at NTRA.com of important stakes events
unavailable on network television; interviews with on-track analysts; live chats
with viewers; pre-and post-race analysis; handicapping selections; and other
features, including original and unique programming components. The programs are
produced and directed by Tim Turrell, who has produced numerous telecasts on
horse racing and other sports for ESPN, The Golf Channel and others. Access to
the Webcast is free.
“We are delighted to have Breeders’ Cup on board as the latest supporter of
this popular new venture,” said Keith Chamblin, Senior Vice President of the
NTRA. “Previous NTRA Live! Webcasts have delivered thousands of viewers from
every corner of the world, and we look to grow viewership further in the weeks
and months ahead.”
The next NTRA Live! Webcast will present this Saturday’s $750,000 United
Nations S. (G1) from Monmouth Park. Showtime begins Saturday at 5:15 p.m. (EDT).
The United Nations is a Breeders’ Cup Challenge event and Saturday’s winner will
receive a guaranteed starting berth in the November 6 Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1).
