Aqueduct officials canceled live racing on Friday due to snow, but the track will
remain open for simulcasting. The Belmont Cafe will be also be open for
simulcasting.
There is no charge for admission or general parking at Aqueduct for either
live racing days (usually Wednesdays through Sundays) or simulcast-only days. On
simulcast-only days fans will be able to enter the facility through the
Clubhouse entrance.
During simulcast-only days, parking and admission gates will open at 11
a.m. (ET), mutuels will open at approximately noon, and the final simulcast race
will go off at approximately 7 p.m. The bus service which is available from
locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens to Aqueduct does not run on
simulcast-only days.
Hours of operation at the Belmont Cafe are 11 a.m. through the conclusion of
live racing at Santa Anita, usually between 7 and 8 p.m. On non-racing days at NYRA tracks and Santa Anita, the Belmont Cafe will be open from approximately 11
a.m. to 6 p.m. The shuttle service which runs from the Queens Village LIRR
stop to the Belmont Cafe on live racing days will not run today.
In addition to Aqueduct, Penn National has also canceled their Friday program
due to poor weather conditions. Racing is scheduled to resume at both tracks on
Saturday.
