quarter-mile clocking at Monday’s Under Tack Show for the Fasig-Tipton Florida
Sale at the Palm Meadows Training Center in Boynton Beach, Florida. Both worked
in :21 3/5.
The March 13 juvenile filly, Hip No. 73, is out of the multiple
stakes-winning Tina Fleet (Afleet). A half-sister to the stakes-placed See Sami
Run (Holy Bull), the Kelynack Farm-owned miss is part of the Casse Sales, agent,
consignment.
The colt, Hip 112, is the first foal out of Angel Arch (Smart Strike), a full
sister to Grade 2 winner Tenpins and a half-sister to Michigan-bred stakes
winners Overide Battle (Conquistador Cielo), It’s a Sweep (Jade Hunter) and Dust
Around (Geiger Counter). The February 20-born colt is offered by Hoby & Layna
Kight, agent.
Hip 49, a February 26 More Than Ready filly, worked the fastest one furlong
in :9 3/5. Owned by W.D. North Thoroughbreds and consigned by SGV Thoroughbreds
(Steven Venosa), agent, she is the first foal out of the unraced Spring
Unbridled (Unbridled’s Song), a half-sister to multiple Group 3-placed stakes
winner Kid Mambo (Lemon Drop Kid). This is the family of multiple European
highweight and sire Selkirk (Sharpen Up [GB]).
A colt from the first crop of 2007 champion turf male English Channel worked
a quarter-mile on the turf in :20 4/5. Offered by Off the Hook, agent, the May 2
juvenile sported Hip 23. He is out of the Grade 3-winning Reach the Top (Cozzene),
making him a half-brother to Grade 3 vixen Changing World (Spinning World).
Working one furlong on turf in :9 4/5 was Hip 128, a Medaglia d’Oro
half-brother to Grade 3 winner J’ray (Distant View). Both were produced by
Bubbling Heights (Fr) (Darshaan) and are from the family of 1993 Horse of the
Year Kotashaan (Fr) (Darshaan). The March 6 colt will be offered by Niall
Brennan Stables, agent.
