Last updated: 3/8/11 11:57 AM

TwinSpires.com, the official advance-deposit wagering service for Churchill
Downs Incorporated, is launching the TwinSpires.com Online Handicapping Series
this Saturday. The new handicapping tournament series offers weekly competitions
every Saturday, which culminate in November 2011 with the TwinSpires.com Online
Handicapping Championship. The $1,000 buy-in championship will offer a
guaranteed $100,000 first-place prize and a guaranteed 50 seats to the DRF/NTRA
National Handicapping Championship or Coast Casinos Horse Player World Series.

The tournament series will offer a $50 buy-in tournament every Saturday
except for the last Saturday of the month which will feature a $200 buy-in
tournament.  The $200 tournament will award the winner a seat in the DRF/NTRA
National Handicapping Championship and 10 seats in the TwinSpires.com Online
Handicapping Championship. TwinSpires.com will hold $10 satellite tournaments
every Thursday and Friday to allow players to win their way in to the Saturday
tournaments. The TwinSpires.com Online Handicapping Series is unique in that 100
percent of the entries fees will be returned to players in the form of cash and
prizes.

“TwinSpires.com continues to see strong demand for online handicapping
tournaments, and our new online tournament series will allow players with a
variety of skill levels and bankrolls to compete for major prizes,” said Jeremy
Clemons, TwinSpires.com vice president of marketing. “Handicapping tournament
players have more options than ever before when deciding where to play, and the
TwinSpires.com Online Handicapping Series will be a tremendous value as there
will be no takeout, and 100 percent of the entry fees will be returned as cash
and prizes.”

“We are thrilled to have Twinspires.com participating in the NHC after a one
year hiatus,” said Keith Chamblin, senior vice president of the NTRA. “We are
confident that the convenience, value and variety of formats offered in the
Twinspires.com Online Handicapping Series will appeal to a broad cross-section
of tournament players.”

“With our satellite structure it’s conceivable that a TwinSpires.com player
could parlay a $10 satellite buy-in into more than $1 million in prizes by
winning the TwinSpires.com Online Handicapping Championship’s $100,000
first-place prize and then winning the $1 million first-place prize at the DRF/NTRA
National Handicapping Championship,” Clemons added.

The TwinSpires.com Online Handicapping Series will be conducted through
TwinSpires.com and participants may register at
www.twinspires.com. The series will also
offer members of the Daily Racing Form‘s National Handicapping
Championship Tour an opportunity to earn maximum tour points.

The TwinSpires.com Online Handicapping Series will be structured in the
traditional win/place format on a set number of mandatory races for all
contestants.  Brisnet Director of Marketing Rich Nilsen, a veteran of
handicapping contests, will serve as tournament director. Additionally, Brisnet
will offer special handicapping information on the races selected for the
tournament to all horseplayers entered in the competition.
