Keeneland has cataloged 169 horses for its April Two-Year-Olds in Training
Sale, scheduled for Monday at 4 p.m. (EDT). Prospective buyers have the
opportunity to see the juveniles breeze under tack during a preview show on Thursday beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The April Sale will be broadcast live by HRTV and at
Keeneland.com.
Preview day works will be streamed lived at
Keeneland.com, and within hours
of the conclusion of the preview show, Keeneland will post videos of each
workout on its website. Videos will be available for viewing through the April
11 sale. Buyers will be able to email a link for each video, as well as post it
on Facebook and Twitter.
Work video will be available in Keeneland’s sales pavilion TV viewing room
beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday. HRTV also will highlight preview day
works on a broadcast to air Friday at 9:30 p.m.
The April Sale has produced such classic winners as Lookin at Lucky, Big
Brown and Thunder Gulch. Other graduates include
last year’s Grade 1 Jockey Club Gold Cup winner Haynesfield, Grade 1 Cigar Mile
hero Jersey Town and Grade 2 Gallant Bloom Handicap victress My Jen.
Seventy-two different stallions are represented by April Sale juveniles,
highlighted by a colt from the last crop of Storm Cat. Also cataloged are
offspring by such sires as A.P. Indy, Bernardini, Empire Maker, Mr. Greeley,
Tiznow, Unbridled’s Song, Afleet Alex, Congrats, Dynaformer, Giant’s Causeway,
Indian Charlie, Malibu Moon, Medaglia d’Oro, Pulpit, Smart Strike, Speightstown,
Street Cry (Ire) and Tapit, among others.
