Old Friends, the Thoroughbred Retirement Facility in Georgetown, Kentucky,
will hold its annual Homecoming fundraising event on Sunday beginning at 4 p.m.
(EDT). The festivities will take place at Old Friends’s Dream Chase Farm,
located at 1841 Paynes Depot Road in Georgetown.
Tickets are $25; Old Friends members and shareholders and students with IDs
are $15. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made by calling
502-863-1775.
Highlights of the event include:

features pulled pork ribs, potato salad, baked beans, buttered rolls, and
dessert
artists of Pottery Rowe in Louisville, Kentucky
Pottery Rowe will also take orders and create custom pots for guests bringing
swatches of horse manes or tails.
Old Friends’ Georgetown farm is home to more than 75 champions of the turf,
including Eclipse winner Sunshine Forever, Grade 1 winner Marquetry, Florida
Derby (G1) star Bull inthe Heather, top sprinter Ogygian, Derby contender
Danthebluegrassman, and Breeders’ Cup winner and famed sire Gulch.
Old Friends is a non-profit organization that cares for more than 100 retired
racehorses. Dream Chase Farm is open to tourists daily by appointment, and Old
Friends also has a satellite facility in Greenfield Center, New York, Old
Friends at Cabin Creek: The Bobby Frankel Division, which is also open to
visitors.
