Grade 2-winning sprinter SAINT ANDDAN (A.P. Indy) got off the mark at stud on
Sunday when his juvenile daughter Woebegon captured the 9TH race at Hollywood
Park. With Martin Pedroza aboard, the Jay Em Ess Stable colorbearer led all the
way home to score by 3 1/4 lengths. Trained by Peter Miller, the bay lass
completed five furlongs on the Cushion Track in :57 3/5.

Saint Anddan, a $1.85 million yearling purchase at Keeneland September, broke
his maiden second time out for the late Hall of Famer Bobby Frankel. The
lightly-raced bay reached his peak as a five-year-old in 2007, when he scored
his signature win in the Churchill Downs S. (G2). That season he also captured
the Duncan F. Kenner S. and finished third in the Phoenix S. (G3), ultimately
retiring with a record of 16-5-4-2, $423,170.

Saint Anddan was produced by the stakes-placed Adoradancer (Danzig
Connection), herself a full sister to the Grade 2-placed Rare Opportunity, the
dam of Grade 2 heroine Street Sounds (Street Cry [Ire]) and Grade 3-placed
Canadian stakes winner Silver Highlight (Silver Charm). Adoradancer is a
half-sister to Grade 3 winner Luftikus (Conquistador Cielo), multiple Group
3-placed French stakes queen Sensitivity (Blushing John) and Grade 3-placed
multiple stakes victress Diversa (Tabasco Cat).

Saint Anddan’s third dam is multiple Grade 1-winning millionaire Sabin (Lyphard),
whose other descendants include Grade 3 scorers Dilemma (Grand Slam) and
Heavenly Ransom (Red Ransom) and multiple Group 1-placed German stakes victor
Poseidon Adventure (Sadler’s Wells).

The nine-year-old Saint Anddan stands at Journeyman Stud near Ocala, Florida,
for $4,500, live foal.
