Trainer Tom Amoss, who saddled SHARED PROPERTY (Scat Daddy) to win
Saturday’s Arlington-Washington Futurity (G3), was understandably upbeat
when reached at the airport shortly before his return trip to Kentucky
Sunday morning.

“That was a lot of fun, yesterday,” Amoss said. “I stopped by the
barn to take a look at (Shared Property) this morning before we left for
the airport and he looked great. He ate up everything last night and
we’re hoping he has a big future in front of him.

“I’ve liked this horse from the first time he came into the barn,”
Amoss added. “I think he’s going to be a real good racehorse. I’m not
sure why he ducked out the way he did yesterday but he’s still a little
inexperienced. He’ll improve off of that race yesterday.

“Nothing has been decided for sure just yet, but there’s a big chance
we’ll run him next in the (October 8) Breeders’ Futurity (G1) at
Keeneland.”

Shared Property will face a rematch in the Breeders’ Futurity with TAKE
CHARGE INDY (A.P. Indy), beaten a length for the win when runner-up in the
Arlington-Washington Futurity. That dark bay colt was doing well Sunday morning,
according to trainer Patrick Byrne.

“(Take Charge Indy) came out of the race yesterday in super shape,” Byrne
said, speaking over the phone during training hours Sunday morning. “He ran a
little green, but he ate up good last night and he’s doing super good today.
We’re going to point him to the Futurity at Keeneland for his next start.

“I can’t wait to see how he runs when we put the blinkers on him next time,”
Byrne concluded. “He’s got a lot of talent.”

Incidentally, moments after the Arlington-Washington Futurity, the Amoss-trained
POPULIST POLITICS (Don’t Get Mad) ran a fast-closing third in the Super Derby
(G2) at Louisiana Downs, beaten less than three lengths for the win.

Amoss had a big day on Saturday, saddling juveniles in both of Arlington’s
graded tests, but the filly, ALWAYS HERE TOO (Include), didn’t do as well as her
stablemate when finishing fifth in the Arlington-Washington Lassie (G3).

“The filly, she looked fine this morning, too,” Amoss said. “I’m a little
disappointed with her race, but she seems fine.”

Rocket Twentyone might show up in the Alcibiades for her next
race

The winner of the Arlington-Washington Lassie, ROCKET TWENTYONE (Indian
Charlie), was in fine fettle Sunday morning and likely to go on to Kentucky
after Arlington closes the doors September 25 on its 2011 season, according to
trainer Tom Howard.

“(Rocket Twentyone) seems fine this morning,” Howard said when reached by
phone during training hours Sunday morning. “We have nothing rock solid in mind
for her just yet but we’re planning on going down to Churchill Downs and camping
out after Arlington. Maybe there will be a deal for us at Keeneland (possibly
the October 7 Alcibiades [G1]), and if that works out for us, maybe they’ll have
another deal for us at Churchill Downs.”

“Yesterday was a very good day for us,” added the conditioner, who saddled a
training double earlier in the week. “In fact, it was a very good week for us.
Everything is coming together real nice for us, lately. Also, we’re not done
yet. We’re still in business. We have a few other horses we have high hopes for
before the (Arlington) season ends.

ESSENCE OF BUBBLES (Essence of Dubai) made the pace in the
Arlington-Washington Lassie, but just could not withstand Rocket Twentyone in
the late stages to finish second by a half-length.

“We should have won,” trainer Larry Rivelli said Sunday. “She got too wound
up before the race and left some of her race in the paddock. I haven’t had her
long enough to realize she was going to do that. If I’d had her a little longer,
we could have addressed that issue.”

While Rivelli blamed Essence of Bubbles’ temperament for the filly’s loss,
trainer Jimmy DiVito wasn’t happy with the trips run by his charges in both the
Futurity and Lassie. The conditioner saddled ANN OF THE DANCE (English Channel)
to a third-place run in the Lassie while sending out TWELVE HUNDRED (Cape Town)
to a distant eighth in the Futurity.

“We didn’t have very good trips in either race,” DiVito stated Sunday
morning. “We’ll probably take Ann of the Dance to Keeneland but keep Twelve
Hundred here in Chicago for something at Hawthorne. He’s an Illinois-bred.”
