  • Ticket sales are on pace with 2010’s record-setting sales at Churchill Downs,
Breeders’ Cup officials indicated. Multiple new seating options have increased
sales in premium Clubhouse and dining areas. Premium third floor Clubhouse
seating has sold out as well as dining in Millionaires Row.

“We’re very encouraged by fan response so far and are thrilled to be
returning to Louisville and Churchill Downs,” said Craig Fravel, Breeders’ Cup
president and CEO. “With these events for Friday and the complimentary racing
programs, coupled with the world class competition, we look forward to a
    successful return to the marketplace.”

For the second consecutive year, Churchill Downs will host the event under
the two-day Championship format, which will begin on Friday at 2 p.m. and finish
under the lights at approximately 7:30 p.m. with the $2 million Breeders’ Cup
Ladies’ Classic. Saturday’s card will begin at 12:05 p.m. and conclude with the
$5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic at 7:00 p.m.
