Belmont cancels after 4TH race
Due to a storm that resulted in a loss of power at Belmont Park, live racing
on Friday was canceled after the 4TH race. Simulcasting at Aqueduct and the
Belmont Cafe were to continue as scheduled.
Customers that bet the Pick 6 that started in the 4TH race will be refunded,
while Daily Doubles, Pick 3s, and Pick 4s will be paid out based on the
contested legs, with the canceled legs considered all wins on those tickets.
Belmont Park is scheduled to run an 11-race card on Saturday, highlighted by
the Grade 1, $300,000 Mother Goose, including Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks heroine
Believe You Can and Grade 1 Acorn winner Contested.
