Ken and Sarah Ramsey took home a pair of major awards, National Owner of the
Year and National Breeder of the Year, at Friday evening’s Thoroughbred Owners
and Breeders Association’s (TOBA’s) 27th Annual National Awards Dinner at the
Keeneland Entertainment Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Indiana-based partnership of Robert Gorham and Mast Thoroughbreds LLC was
named the National Small Breeder of the Year.
The TOBA Awards Dinner, hosted by two-time Eclipse Award winner Tom Leach,
takes place every year in Kentucky and acknowledges the accomplishments of
Thoroughbred owners and breeders around the country. Thoroughbred owners in the
four major North American racing regions and breeders in 23 states were honored
Friday.
In addition, the Rood & Riddle Thoroughbred Sport Horse of the Year award was
presented to the owner of the ex-Thoroughbred racehorse that has accumulated the
most points in competition, as tracked by the United States Equestrian
Federation. Nicole Oliynyk’s Sea Walker received the award.
