Original Script took full advantage of the absence of Woodbine Oaks winner
Nipissing and runner-up Spring in the Air, who are headed for a date with the
boys in the Queen’s Plate next Sunday, to take the Bison City. The gray miss was
third behind those two in the Woodbine Oaks after leading early on in that
nine-furlong Polytrack contest. She also finished second in the Ontario Lassie
in her juvenile finale, and now boasts $363,628 in career earnings to go along
with her 7-4-1-1 scorecard.
“She’s become such a professional,” Attard remarked. “She was a little
high-strung as a two-year-old but she’s really matured now and a lovely filly to
work with.”
Original Script is the first registered stakes scorer out of the winning El
Prado mare Seanachai. Her fourth dam is Gonfalon, who is noted for foaling
multiple Grade 1-winning sire Ogygian as well as the dam of fellow Grade
1-scoring stallion Honour and Glory. This is the same female family as top sire
Fappiano.
