Keeping 4-5 favorite Clenor company near the back of the pack in the early
stages of Saturday’s Grade 3, $100,250
Miesque,
Full Ransom began to separate herself from that rival approaching the quarter
pole, rallied on the outside in the stretch and was up in the final strides to
defeat Savings Account by a head in the one-mile grass test for two-year-old
fillies at Hollywood Park.

Owned by Deron Pearson, trained by James Cassidy, and ridden by Victor Espinoza, Full Ransom finished up in 1:37 2/5 over good
ground. Let go at 12-1 despite being only 4-1 on the morning line, the daughter
of Full Mandate rewarded her backers with mutuels of $26.80, $10.80 and $8.20.

Savings Account, an 8-1 chance, rallied up the inside to claim second, 1 1/2
lengths ahead of 21-1 outsider Sushi Empire. The three betting favorites, led by
7-2 second choice Nesso, all finished out of the money. Clenor finished a dull
fifth while Love in the Desert, who set contested fractions of :24 2/5, :49 1/5,
and 1:13 4/5, completed the order of finish.

Fourth in her September 2 debut at Del Mar going 5 1/2 furlongs on the
Polytrack, Full Ransom made her turf debut at Santa Anita on October 17 going a
mile. She led throughout in beating that field of maidens by 1 1/2 lengths, and
has now earned $93,300.

Bred in Florida by Gregg James, Full Ransom brought $25,000 last May at the
Barretts two-year-old in training sale. She was produced by the winning Red
Ransom mare Retroesque, whose stakes-placed half-sister, Little Bonnet, produced
Grade 1 winner Boys at Tosconova.

Retroesque was reared by multiple Grade 3 winner Valid Bonnet. Also hailing
from this female family is multiple Grade 3 winner Speakerphone.
