Last updated: 3/2/14 6:01 PM

Gary and Mary West’s Room Service went from last to first to capture her
first stakes in Sunday’s Grade 3, $100,000

Herecomesthebride Stakes
for three-year-old fillies at Gulfstream Park. The
Wayne Catalano charge was sent off as the 6-1 fourth choice and returned $14.40
for the score.

Room Service was outrun early as Seeking Her Glory led the field through
fractions of :23 4/5, :47 4/5 and 1:11. Room Service started to mount her rally
four wide around the far turn. The Kentucky homebred caught up with 9-5 favorite
Candy Kitty near the sixteenth-pole and drew clear to prevail by two lengths.

Room Service covered 1 1/8 miles  in 1:46 4/5 over the firm turf with
Joel Rosario up.

Candy Kitty claimed second and was two lengths clear of Seeking Her Glory in
third. Valseuse, America, High Wire Kitten, Merry Merry Bee, Hardly and Raging
Atlantic rounded out the order of finish. The main-track only entrants, Fierce
Boots and Joint Return, stayed in the barn.

Room Service broke her maiden at first asking on September 25 at Kentucky
Downs and was exiting a third-place finish in her stakes debut in the Sweetest
Chant over this course in January.

The daughter of More Than Ready is out of the multiple Grade 3-placed stakes
winning Old Trieste mare Dream Lady. She is a full sister to Grade 3 victor
Major Gain as well as a half-sister to Grade 2-placed stakes victress Oscar
Party. Also close up in the family is Argentinean Group 1 winner Zapata. The
bay’s third dam is Grade 3 scorer London Lil, who produced Grade 3 winner Lilly
Capote, in turn the dam of Grade 1 scorer Aubby K.
