Princess of Sylmar to sell at F-T November under Taylor Made banner

King of Prussia Stable has announced that its four-time Grade 1 winner
Princess of Sylmar will be consigned by
Taylor Made Sales Agency and offered for
sale as a broodmare prospect at the upcoming
Fasig-Tipton November Sale on
Monday, November 3.

Owner/breeder Ed Stanco said, “The Princess brought joy and hope to so many.
We will always cherish that. She is truly the peoples’ horse. We were with her
from birth and watched her grow up to be one of the finest fillies in the world.
Now she will enter the next phase of her life.”

Princess of Sylmar is the only filly in history to sweep the prestigious
Kentucky Oaks (G1), Coaching Club American Oaks (G1), Alabama Stakes (G1), and
Beldame Stakes (G1).

At three, she defeated a stellar field in the Kentucky Oaks that included
dual-champion Beholder, as well as Grade 1 winners Close Hatches, Dreaming of
Julia, Midnight Lucky and Pure Fun.

Later that same year, she faced older horses for the first time in the
Beldame Stakes, where she defeated multiple champion, Royal Delta.

“We’ve had over 25 fillies win Grade 1 races for our clients,” said trainer
Todd Pletcher. “Only two of that elite group have won four Grade 1’s as a
three-year-old. Rags to Riches was our first. Princess of Sylmar was the second.
‘Princess’ was one of the best we have ever had.”
