Twelve TwinSpires.com players have a chance to win $1-million by making a $20 show bet on the May 2 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. The 12 players arrived at this point after making 19 successful show wagers on Kentucky Derby prep races February 7-April 11 culminating with American Pharoah’s victory in the Arkansas Derby. If more than one person hits his/her Kentucky Derby show bet then they will split the $1-million prize, which is available either as a 40-year annuity or with a 50 percent cash option. In addition to the $1-million prize, all players who have participated in the SHOWdown game on TwinSpires.com are eligible for a $10,000 Kentucky Derby prize pool as well as other prizes such as event tickets and swag.

Wagering on this year’s Kentucky Derby will begin on Kentucky Oaks day,
Friday, May 1.
